Extended Reality (XR)
Extended Reality (XR) encompasses both Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), offering a range of immersive experiences.
AR enhances the real world by superimposing digital content on top of it. Using a device’s camera (usually found on smartphones or AR glasses), it seamlessly integrates virtual objects, whether information, graphics, or 3D models, into our physical environment. VR, on the other hand, transports users into entirely virtual environments. By wearing VR headsets, users are immersed in computer-generated worlds that exclude the physical environment. Whether exploring a distant planet, solving puzzles, or attending a virtual concert, VR offers a fully simulated experience.
